Henrik’s research explores how technologies form and shape people’s habits in their daily lives. Working at the intersection of human–computer interaction and cognitive science, he is interested in how technologies structure the cognition and in the complex patterns that emerge from our constant engagement with digital technologies. Recently, he has studied how people experience information overload when interacting with everyday technologies, such as web browsers and smartphones. He is also interested in foundational questions related to HCI and cognitive science.
He holds an M.Sc. (Cognitive Science) from University of Jyväskylä, an M.Soc.Sc (Philosophy) from University of Helsinki, and an M.A. (Literature) from University of Oulu.
